Referral Guidelines

To ensure we provide the right level of care, Dr. Hayes and Associates does not treat:

• Active suicidal or homicidal thoughts with intent or plan
  Please go to your local hospital or call 911. You can all be referred to an inpatient facility in your area.  

• Severe mental illness (schizophrenia, delusions, hallucinations)

• Active substance abuse (exception: Cannabis/THC); You can be referred to a SUD facility.

• Eating disorders (Not include ARFID commonly experienced in Autism).  

• Active Custody cases

• Active DCBS cases

When you are discharged from a facility/higher level of care you may continue working with us.
